Life - an endless search for meaning, truth, love, knowledge and identity. A conquest that we have all embarked upon {be it willingly or unwilling} and are obliged to complete. We the seekers are in search of the hiding Perfection that is somewhere around. It gets tiring when we think that we are losing because we are unable to find anything. We begin to give up and thereafter, you lose life's ultimate of Hide and Seek.
At times, in this simple yet challenging game, one or two of its players decide that hiding is no longer fun thus, when the seeker least expects it, they jump out from no where in an attempt to scare the wits out of her. Fear grips the seeker and more often than not, she chooses to opt out of the game so that she would not have to go through the same trauma again. The seeker stifles and detatches herself from the fun that the game holds. She breaks off from what they may benefit from. The opportunity cost of giving up? Life long fulfillment through love, meaning, truth, identity and knowledge.
Doubt deconstructs mankind. How so? By instilling insecurity in the hearts of men. We are never sure of ourselves thus, the engagement in the game of Hide and Seek. We have specific wants in life and when we find it, we grow and attach ourselves to it. Then, fear surfaces as we doubt ourselves and become paranoid of all that's around us. Anyway, that is why wars break out in the first place. The sissified President Bush huddles in his comfy armchair and wages wars on Iraq, Iran and North Korea because they SUSPECT that there are terrorism cells breeding within. Maybe these cells do exist but well, confirmation wasn't sufficent. Ok.. world issues are a different ball game cause ambiguity is the policy of politicians. Our lives however, are in our hands. We can choose to clear this ambiguity. Escapism is appealing but can we break free from our comfort zones to trust, love and really, believe in ourselves. Out there, many things await our discovery but because we are unable to commit to things, we run away. We fear, we escape. Simple but unwise. Why run? Confront and solve... Seek and you will find, ask and it will be given unto you! Hide and Seek ain't that hard to accomplish if only you set your heart, mind and soul to discovering the essence of the game - afterall, how many places are there to hide?
So, will you engage in this game of hide and seek to the end? The pieces have been hidden so now, will you go all the way to found out where and what they are? Don't give up alright? For the rewards are great. Hahax...
